A traumatic or difficult birth can be a birth that is full of intervention or relatively straightforward. Research shows that it is not only what happens to you that makes a birth traumatic but how you were treated and how much control you felt.
This time around you may find that you are being told what you are allowed, with decisions seemingly already made. But everything is your choice.
