Baby massage

I have just completed the massage course with Chilled Mama and I can not recommend it highly enough.
Catherine is a fountain of knowledge on all things babies/ toddlers and it meant you learnt so much more than massage.
It was well structured, with added time to ask questions and learn all about your baby in a friendly environment. Plus you get to meet great new people.

Am already looking forward to more chilled mama courses...

Baby massage is scrummy!
It's a great way to enjoy spending time with your baby. It has many benefits for babies, including helping with colic and sleep. And lots you won't have thought of, like helping with colds, and even balance! And you can enjoy lots of eye contact and cuddles.

It's a very relaxed class. It's very baby centred, so it doesn't matter if your baby doesn't want to join in that week, or only makes it half way through before needing a feed, you can watch or practise with my doll. All very chilled.

Each week we do new strokes, but also go over the previous ones so there is plenty of practise for you to gain confidence in massaging your baby.

It's ideal for babies over 8 weeks, and under 6 months-ish. (Can start younger.)

I have been teaching baby massage since July 2011 and attended an update in July 2015. I trained with Touch Learn International, who are accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.

I am experienced in supporting parents with baby sleep, baby calming, feeding (breastfeeding, mixed feeding, bottle, expressing). I co-wrote the postnatal course 'Baby Days' being delivered in all the children's centres in Central Beds, and trained the staff to deliver it.
